Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-04-23

Surety Title Services of Florida, Inc. ("Surety Title," "we," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy describes what information we collect when you visit suretytitle.net or engage us for closing, title-insurance, or escrow services, and how we use and protect it.

Information we collect

In the normal course of handling a real-estate transaction we collect information you provide directly to us, including name, contact details, property address, transaction details, lender and agent contacts, and — when required for closing — identifying documents and tax identification numbers. This information is governed by Florida statutes and federal law (including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act) and is used only to complete the closing and associated title insurance.

From visitors to this website we may collect limited technical information: IP address, referring page, browser and device type, and pages visited. This information is used to operate the site, measure performance, and defend against abuse. We do not sell website analytics data.

Contact form

If you submit a message through our contact form, we receive your name, email, phone number, property address, and message. Submissions are verified using Cloudflare Turnstile (a bot-detection service) and delivered to our office by email. Metadata such as your IP address and approximate geographic location is included with each submission so we can defend against abuse; it is not used for marketing.

Use of information

We use personal information only to (a) deliver the services you engage us for, (b) comply with our legal obligations as a licensed Florida title agent, (c) communicate with you about your transaction, and (d) protect our systems from fraud or abuse. We do not sell personal information.

Sharing

We share information with third parties only where necessary to complete your transaction or comply with law — for example, with your lender, real-estate agents, underwriters (Westcor, WFG, First American), counties for recording, and tax authorities. We may also share information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other lawful requests.

Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. Website traffic to suretytitle.net is encrypted end-to-end via HTTPS. Email containing sensitive closing data may be exchanged with your consent and where reasonable, in encrypted form.

Cookies

This site uses only essential cookies required to operate the contact form's bot protection. We do not set advertising, cross-site tracking, or analytics cookies.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by contacting our office. Note that Florida and federal law require us to retain transaction records for specific periods; those records may not be deletable during the retention period.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
